Decided to try this again - just testing it out...quite a few years have passed and it seems blogging is the thing to do. I try to keep a journal but this might be more reasonable for me to keep up. My hope is that it is a way for my children to look back and see what we've done and things that we've accomplished!

October comes to an end.....
October has come to an end and November is here. Dan has been very busy at the Sullivan farm. The weather has been warm so it's been great weather for the harvest. Colleen has been busy continuing to try to sell her condo and getting ready to move to Dan's. We're continuing to do some minor things to update/change the house - it looks great and we can't wait to get her all moved in.
We had a fun Halloween though neither of us really dressed up. Colleen helped her grandma and grandpa dress up though for their halloween party and it was great! They were the cutest Mickey and Minnie Mouse we've ever seen and even took 1st place at the costume party!

The month of October has been great! Colleen just got back from a long weekend with her parents in Connecticut where she visited her aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents. It was beautiful weather and they had a great time doing a variety of activities. Dan has been traveling for work and busy helping down at the family farm.
We are finalizing our wedding plans and continuing to do a few things to Dan's place. This winter will be here before we know it and we are so excited for our wedding, honeymoon to Argentina and all the things that are in store for us!

Wedding Plans and Honeymoon!
We have had fun planning our wedding! The date is coming up - we are under 2 months now and so excited to make this commitment to each other and share the celebration with our family and a few friends.
We are just as excited for our honeymoon! We are heading to Argentina for 3 weeks! We'll be spending 5-6 days in Buenos Aires which is said to be the "Paris of South America". Dan can't wait to learn to Tango! (at least try to learn. . . .) The city is supposed to be beautiful with amazing restaurants, museums, parks and a rich history and culture. We will be flying to the southern region known as Patagonia for an additional 5-6 days and are excited to see the glaciers! The town we will be staying in is El Calafate and is said to be a very 'touristy' place but also an area with amazing natural beauty. We hope to go one at least 1 maybe two glacier tours and also do some hiking and relaxing! The final week, we will fly to Mendoza which strikes us to be similar to California -- it's a laid back and beautiful environment where the vast majority of Argentine wine comes from. We hope to stay in a quaint and fun bed and breakfast, do some wine tours and just enjoy this beautiful part of the world.
Our good friends, Dawn and Pablo Borean, have been to Argentina a # of times (Pablo was born/raised there) and are bilingual and love all things Argentine! Colleen has been trying to clean up her Spanish skills and both of us have been pouring over books on Argentina (thanks to books the Boreans have borrowed us!)
Look for more pictures and info soon!

R&R "Girls Weekend' in Wisconsin Rapids
Mike and Sue were gracious enough to host Colleen and 7 of her friends from college for a weekend in Wisconsin Rapids. The girls had a wonderful time!

Labor Day Weekend
Dan's sister Barb was in town from Phoenix over Labor Day weekend. She coordinated and hosted a dinner/get together with Dan's family and Colleen's parents and sister at Buca - also a bit of a surprise birthday twist for Dan. It was great for the Sullivan and O'Leary clans to meet and all had a great time!

Labor Day Weekend was spent at the O'Leary cabin in McGregor, MN on Big Round Lake. It was a gorgeous weekend.

Mike brought up his sailboat which is named "Brace Yourself" -- there was a lot of wind so it was such a great time!

We also celebrated Dan's 34th birthday.
